Program Overview

The Civic Initiative’s Argentinean Young Leaders Institute brings to Massachusetts 25 Argentinean professionals and academics to learn about American politics and political leadership.  Funded by the Argentinean Fulbright Commission, this institute combines academic discourse and real life examples.  Participants study current political campaigns, structures (such as the law, Federalism, and the Constitution), institutions (such as Congress, the Courts, and governmental bureaucracy), policies, and the concept of leadership in a modern democracy.  Participants also travel to Washington, DC to speak with elected officials, think tanks, lobbyists, and administrators.
